I do not regard myself as a photographer... I'm just a guy who enjoys capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my life, my everyday life, with whatever photo machine I've got. Perhaps, it's like a traveller hoping to record his memorable journey, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

@bruno: Thank you Bruno! IMO, HK is an even more lovely place at night. Stay tuned.:-)
Very good perspective. It's like a oriental painting !

@Vink: Thanks Vink! "Oriental painting"? Yes, I've got that feeling too once I "desaturated" the original colour version.:-)
The junk fits so well amid the wonderful DOF. Love the sky. I can almost feel the roll of the waves.

@Michael Skorulski: Thanks so much Michael!!! It's somehow pretty interesting to find an image exceptionally impressive when the subject is placed in the centre of the frame.:-) I love the sky too. Must say that I was lucky on this one cause the sky has always been dull and hazy here.
excellent capture!

@Cheryl: Thanks alot for leaving your encouraging comments!:-)
quoting from ianbramham.aminus3.com: "Hugo Poon records his home city Hong Kong in photographs so beautiful that they inspired me to start taking my own photos. Deeply humanist in his vision, Hugo claims that he is not a photographer". So, if you're not a photographer, what else could you be?
Bravo

@Paolo: Thanks so much for the wonderfully warm words Paolo!!!
Why I don't regard myself as a "photographer"? May I elaborate a little. I haven't shot for commercial purposes and I guess I never will. I'm just shooting for pleasure or should I say, doing what I feel. That's all. But taking pictures has been such a passion that it's almost like an obsession to me!:-)
Best regards, Hugo
une superbe photo.
