Hill Road Flyover, Hong Kong
I do not regard myself as a photographer... I'm just a guy who enjoys capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my life, my everyday life, with whatever photo machine I've got. Perhaps, it's like a traveller hoping to record his memorable journey, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Absolutely stunning, Hugo! This shot has everything from a very interesting scene, great focus, perfect toning... This little rotation to the legt fits perfectly with this one... I am impressed!

An amazing scene!
One even Henri Cartier-Bresson would be proud of! The shape and angles just balance the framing of the subject just perfectly IMO. Well done.
ps. I know what you mean about the current state of the FTF. I've also been put off from posting there for a long while. But my own website will be ready sometime soon.

@IanSmith: Ian, you just know how to make me blush! Your own website? "Studio 72"? Don't you know how long we have been waiting... I'll check that out as frequently as possible.:-)
Cheers, Hugo
Excellent Combination of archetecture and street photography!

Thank you guys for dropping by and leaving your nice compliments!!! Must add that no matter how many times I have passed by this flyover before, I'm still finding it astonishing... but my feelings are somewhat mixed. I do admire the engineers who overcame all the technical difficulties in constructing this spectacular structure; but I really feel sorry for the people living inside the adjacent residential blocks... they have to bear all the fumes and noise, especially when double-deckers and trucks roar by!
Take care, Hugo

Very nice architectural lines ! Is this a road for cars or buses or pedestrans ?

@Sylvain: Thanks alot Sylvain!!! This is actually an important traffic bypass linking two main roads, Pokfulam Road at mid-level and Connaught Road West at the waterfront. In other words, there'll be busy traffic day and night, private cars, buses (double-deckers) and even heavy trucks!
great perspective and contrast..

Hi Hugo...thanks very much for posting a photo with your 16-85VR lens (I can see it was at full 16mm wide angle from the exif which AM3 converts to full frame equivalent)
This is a great shot and I love the sweeping line of the overpass against the skyscrapers!

@Ian Bramham: You're welcome Ian! So, you see what I mean... this lens is not "dramatically" wide yet should be wide enough for normal cityscapes, but its sharpness is just impressive...
Catch you later.:-) Hugo
I love this type of shot, great angle capturing the different buildings. So many apartments together. Excellent image Hugo.
