I do not regard myself as a photographer... I'm just a guy who enjoys capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my life, my everyday life, with whatever photo machine I've got. Perhaps, it's like a traveller hoping to record his memorable journey, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Beautiful. The moon is so romantic over that space-age building.

@dj.tigersprout: You're exactly right... this is a view from my bedroom!:-) So, you now see what I mean in my introduction: "I'm just a guy enjoying capturing the memorable scenes in my everyday life..." The majority of my pics were actually taken on my way to the office and back home with the pocketable camera I'm carrying all the time!
Hmm... maybe it's not a bad idea to show you more pics of my neighbourhood.:-)
See you later! Hugo
very nice

@eddy: It's nice seeing you Eddy. Thanks for the nice comments!:-)
Hi Hugo...I've been flicking back and forth between this one and the B&W version trying to decide which one I like best. It's a difficult call but I like the way that the B&W one gives more emphasis to the moon which gives that version the edge I think!

@Ian Bramham: Thank you so much Ian for taking the time to look into these pics!!! I'm with you regarding the moon in the b&w... but I would add that despite having moved in this premises for a couple of years, I don't recall seeing such a lovely moon and a beautiful sky at the same time before. So, I have to be honest. I enjoy these captures much myself, whether in colour or b&w!:-)
The colored version works better for me here... Maybe because it is not half as depessive as yesterdays ;-) Both are nice, though.

@Shun: Glad that this pic works for you!!! It's interesting that these two versions could bring out and convey such different moods, isn't it...
Hi Hugo... I wish I had a view like that to wake up to!
I prefer the colour version - though the moon does get lost a little. The only thing bothering me is that the picture appears 'muddy'? I'm not sure if its because of the auto-resize to fit AM3s dimensions, or if the Fuji is showing too much NR? Maybe an artificial 'grain' could be added, to give a bit of texture to the image mght help?

@IanSmith: Oh thank you Ian!!! I'm with you regarding the 'muddy' look... it's attributed to both factors, I guess. In fact, this (increased noise and noise reduction) is the main flaw of the F100 and why I would seldom use its ISO800 or above, though to be fair, its effective IS has brought back some 1-2 stop advantage when compared with the F30/31. I really look forward to trying out the next generation of the F-series...:-)
I like both without reservation. Colour comes out on top as it elevates the landscape.
