five temples within steps...Posted by hugo poon (hong kong, Hong Kong) on 14 July 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. Tourists and Tai Ping Shan Street, Central, Hong Kong This is a very traditional street in HK and more well known among local elderly people because of the five old temples within steps... but it's bit surprising that tourists could manage to find this place...:-) PS. I have in fact got another pic of the scene (http://www.pbase.com/hpicckcy/image/100134589)... I wasn't too sure which is the "better" and consulted my 10 years old daughter who has always been harsh on my photos. She picked the present one without any hesitation but when I asked her the reasons behind her choice, she just replied coolly, 'Does liking a pic need a reason?' I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm merely a guy who enjoys capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. Perhaps, it's like a traveller hoping to record his memorable journey, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
