This is more about the mood of the night than the place, I guess...
Bonham Road, Hong Kong
'Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.' Henri Cartier Bresson
Maybe it's this quote that has impacted me most and given me the strongest drive since I took up photography a few years ago; maybe it's most regrettable when your most "familiar" place and people suddenly went away and you realized that you don't even have a good picture to bring back the memories... This is a little series of my neighbourhoood.
I do not regard myself as a photographer... I'm just a guy who enjoys capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my life, my everyday life, with whatever photo machine I've got. Perhaps, it's like a traveller hoping to record his memorable journey, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

a wonderful angle -- very poetic. the street looks beautiful and romantic -- even though i am sure it really isn't! :) beautiful job here -- this is more than just a 'photo'.

Oh, Hugo - the subtle detail all along the street leading to that bright red pair of shoes and skirt. Fabulous.

What an interesting shot and perspective, Hugo! Would it work in black & white? I am not sure but would be curious to know if it does...

@Mirko Herzner: Yes, I did try converting this to b&w... not bad but I just love the lady in red!:-)
The people tram up dark damp ramp. There is an expressive poetic quality to this image. Well done, Hugo.

Very interesting angle. Just the angle gives a story. I like also the well measured light. And the stones and yellow line that drive the eyes to the legs of the subjects.

Extraordinary, Hugo! This is all about mood, but you've captured that mood brilliantly ... the angle ... the wet pavement with the solid yellow line and hint of red ... the light illuminating the two individuals ... the hint of long shadows .... all which combine to capture a superbly evocative moment in time!

Online again :) Hi Hugo, thanks for the comments. Great image, and I like that you have captured the mood... thats what I like doing, catching something as a reminder of the mood at the time.
