"just another day..."

Another old street in another old district...

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm merely a guy who enjoys capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. Perhaps, it's like a traveller hoping to record his memorable journey, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

wow -- so many stories here! so rich in detail and human experience! this composition just draws the viewer right in... the intimate proximity to the woman on the left sets the tone for the whole scene... i feel like i could approach her. an amazing pov, Hugo! bravo!

@IanSmith: Ian, as you know, when there's something in a scene that excites me, I'll strive to capture it... Shooting with a pocket size camera is quite often an advantage, I guess, cause it helps me stay inconspicuous and unintrusive.

This is spectacular. You know Hugo, looking at this series is like looking at prints from a good movie, they have a great attraction, and I love to see the graffiti, the signs, and washing hanging above the street.

I'm always amazed by these street images of yours where it would appear that nobody notices you - perhaps you've got an invisibilty cloak like 'Harry Potter' :-)

Seriously though, as Ian Smith said, I really admire your courage as it is something I'm lacking myself for this type of photography.
