hung yuen storePosted by hugo poon (hong kong, Hong Kong) on 2 November 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. 'Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.' Henri Cartier Bresson Every time I pass by this fringe central district, HCB's words will come to my mind and it's such a pleasure to find this traditional store (and this 6 storey corner building) staying so much alive; I couldn't really tell how long it'll take before this precious corner site is cleared, merged with adjoining site and redeveloped into another prominent high rise commercial building... Hillier Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm merely a guy who enjoys capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. Perhaps, it's like a traveller hoping to record his memorable journey, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
