"walking in the sky"

I've always been stunned by these scaffolding workers...

scaffolding

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

These scaffolding shots are stunning. I haven't seen anything quite like this one - the people being essential to the impact of the shot. Great stuff.

I like your photos so much that I went and bought the Fujifilm 200EXR camera!
Do you use the EXR mode a lot, or you use P or M modes and then set ISO, Aperture etc. yourself? And what M pixel do you usually set your camera on?
Very nice photos indeed!!!

16 Mar 2009 3:50am

@JynLukLuk: Trust you'll enjoy your new camera!:-) EXR mode? I've never used this at all, as far as I recall - almost all this mode can do can also be done by the P or M modes but not vice versa... Have to set to 6M pixel if you want to enjoy the high DR or low noise advantages. Have fun! Thanks again for the warm words.

c'est une image acrobatique, ils marchent sur le ciel, si haut, ce sont les petits équilibristes du ciel.. les funambules accrochhés à leurs balanciers.. j'aime le contraste fort de ces silhouettes sur le ciel clair. superbe image.

I absolutely love this! Can't even imagine being up there on that scaffolding...way too freaky. Your tones and the silhouettes are just superb.

Definitely very scary. Great shot though. I like the glow of light behind the men and scaffolding.
