2ifc and a stormy day

And in a serene evening, I caught it "catching the plane".:-)

Fujifilm X-Pro1 1/52 second F/2.8 ISO 2500 53 mm (35mm equiv.)

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

A powerful shot... What a extraordinary building. Not sure I'd feel safe in it on a 'stormy' day.
My mind reels at the size of it....it must hold whole little cities of people within it. (This photo caused me to spend some time with Google, reading about the building(s). Thanks !!

I'm fascinated by this lack of light that is light anyway, and such a terrific one, and you say you didn't change anything here to make it more dramatic ? Gorgeous sci-fi feel, scary & beautiful, another dimension, giant one, and i feel quite mesmerized by this silver (up) & gold (down) harmony in the apocalyptic way. Chaos & balance. Here we are again with top expressive duets of vivid contradictions so much in subtle pairing. A big WOW (that is when my eyes are becoming bigger than my mouth ;) Have a nice week, maestro*

@k@: A big WOW... that's exactly how I felt when this sudden darkness caught me by surprise! Really scary my dear - seemed like the sky was falling and the world coming to an end! Yet equally surprising was that this didn't last long. It's only a matter of minutes that rain started pouring and it turned bright again...

K has a lot to say that I agree with here Hugo... I love the dark atmosphere, the sense of dread, the mood of impending doom. These are the kinds of dramatic images I would love to find, but you made the extra effort to be in the right place at the right time, to make this gem of an image!
