"oops i was spotted!"

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

I like the mimetism, instinctive one, between the woman who passes by and the poster, both attitudes seem again choregraphied by you. Funny name for this road, Des Voeux (= Wishes, in french), yours are all photographically granted ;)

@k@: Oh how funny! I never know its meaning in French... Sir William Des Voeux was actually a colonial Governor of HK and this old road was named after him! Thank you my dear!

I love your night/evening shots. The living person mimicking the ad hoarding is so sweet. I think you thought two figures walking past a picture of someone looking at the camera would be an interesting picture, but then the bonus of one of the passers by striking the same pose! Superb.
Much of success is preparation, seeing the shot coming as I think Bresson said, 'If you press the shutter at the moment, you've missed it', you must anticipate and see the moment before it comes.
