I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Shun from Mühlheim am Main, Germany

As I mentioned on Stephen Phillips photoblog before: What is today that some people from my blogwatch chose exactly the same day to present one of their most impressive work. Now it is already three of you that made me speechless... If you want to know the other two: 1 & 2.

@Shun: Thanks so much Shun for the wonderful comments!!! Wow, Ian's and Stephen's have made my jaw drop... compared with their pics, mine is just like a snapshot!:-)

Best regards,

Ouah ! Amazing urban photo ! It's simply beautiful !

27 Jun 2008 8:27am

@Vink: Thank you Vink! Glad you thought it's beautiful. This was an exceptionally beautiful evening - the sky here is normally hazy and skyline covered with thick smog. When I saw such a clear sky, I couldn't help taking a few shots with my little photo machine braced on a handrail. I took one in b&w and a couple more in colour; I'm gonna post the colour one tomorrow. Hope you'll enjoy.:-)

Best,
Hugo

Hugo - This is a beautiful and perfectly exposed black and white image. The clouds add a wonderful element - along with the reflections in the sea. Very nice.

@Ian Bramham: Thanks so much Ian!!! The little camera is not perfect but really great fun to use... I'm particularly impressed by its improved dynamic range and the wider zoom! BTW, I've got a new lens for my dslr too - the nikon 16-85. So good so far... O.K. enough equipment talks.:-)
