Like it or not, everything of this is so HK to me.:-)

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

cool snapshot of an ordinary moment, I like the added sense of motion created by the blurred figure, it creates nice tension with the knickknacks on the table...

A modern, urban approach to restaurant dining ... including the television hanging from the ceiling ... designed to appeal to a modern, fast-paced lifestyle I suspect. Great documentary image, Hugo. Congratulations on your "neon signs and saturday night fever" image being selected as Am3 spotlight image.

I like the movement in this picture very much, is it describing for the way people dine in HK as well?

asian diner beautiful -- sydney has a lot of these 'hk' eateries... and they all do look alike -- makes me hungry for some kimchi and a big bowl of noodles!

I'd like to know how you got the blur on opposite sides like that. And how is it they are both dressed almost alike. Totally brill--love this.

Nice composition and the image works fine. When is lunch? My only objection is social. Why we must be subjected to televisions everywhere we go is beyond me.

Great shot Hugo....I love the movement blur from the slow shutter speed. I assume this is handheld using the VR of the 16-85?
