"watching tv... alone"

Watching tv is the most important form of entertainment and an essential part of the life of Hong Kong people, I dare say...

PS. I know solitude is a state of seclusion or isolation, lack of contact with people or love, yet must confess that this is exactly what I indulge myself so frequently. Solitude is specially beautiful when it turns misery and banality into a sentimental poem... (My solitude album:

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Hi Hugo... What a great image! And subject. Very well captured my friend.
I also went through your 'solitude' gallery - very interesting, with some excellent shots in there. It reminds me that even though we are many, we are all individual.

wow!!! that solitary photo album was just divine -- i really hope more people see that!! i didn't see anywhere to leave comments though? i might need to go in and look at the separately? ...just so well seen and captured! they are the amazing moments of isolation and tranquility -- moments between recognizable moments in our daily routines... but in reality, most of our lives are these quite solitary moments spent completely alone! you need to publish a book! yes yes!! truly spectacular work Hugo! BRAVO in every sense of the word!!!

love the lighting and the rim of light around him. he kinda looks like he has somewhere to go, like he's gonna watch for just a minute more. i like how u shot this from quite far away, increases the sense of solitude with him "belittled"..

love your framing in the solitude album
