just tired...

A hot sunny summer day, on an afternoon bus...

Hennessy Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong

PS. Thanks so much everyone for taking the time to leave your warm words while I was "away"... As a matter of fact, I've neither taken a holiday nor left town for the past few weeks - just work: a series of important business transactions has made me a prisoner of work, reduced me to an inability to respond to anything except matters relating to these transactions... Seeing them on the right track now, I look forward to being linked again (slowly) to the beautiful life of photography, that I have lost sight of...

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Hey Hugo, great to see you back! And I love this superb picture...lovely candid...great light and tone! But above all it's the bond between the (grandson & grandmom?) two that gives this image so much meaning! Wonderful!

Ian Smith from London, United Kingdom

Sounds to me like its time to take a break somewhere relaxing. Hope it all went to plan, and welcome back.
Do you think they're related? In any case, a great observation.

@Ian Smith: Good question Ian. From what I observed, they didn't seem to be related but the guy was really tired. BTW, I've just planned to visit Shanghai (together with my family) later this month, half work half vacation.:-)

Andrew Gould from Sydney, Australia

An excellent candid capture. Very clear and sharp, too.
