I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Ooooooooh, yesss ! I'm not on Am3 today but i stop here cause it's a FABULOUS image i'm in love with ! The lines & light are just gorgeous in this elegant tone, love the background with the buildings in a very soft lighting and the powerful 2-eyed lil'monsters in lines-up arriving on us like Aliens just landing & invading the city ! One of my fav pic at your place Hugo. Masterpiece with a classical quality i cherrish*
(what is that 2/17 speed ? You worked with a tripod ?)

8 Apr 2010 6:52am

@k@: Tripod? I guess I was too lazy to use one... just using the handrail for support to take a few snaps.:-) So glad you like this one. The sight really stopped me - I was on my way to meet some business friends on the other side of this main road. Thanks k@!

This seems to be quite a different image for you - but I love that cinematic sci-fi surreal feel. Nice one.

I like the photo very much, but I've a strange feeling about it. Perhaps the b&w doesn't fit Hong Kong nights that are full of colour.
