a blue and gray sunset...

Every time I look at this, I have a feeling of watching my teenage self...

PS. I'll be away for a few days... Have a great weekend everyone!!!

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Gorgeous shot. Really, really wonderful. The light in the distance, the fog in the air, the city beyond, and the ships, and then the man, head hanging, the only bit of slight color. And full of emotion. Fantastic.

Exhaustion is palpable, light is just splendid, you seem transparent in this scene, so close & so discreet. Respectful as usual. And the city seems another bunch of ships in the subtle grays of the background... My eye sails quietly in your images & finds nostalgy & quietness as well. Superbly cinematic.

One of the very best from you Hugo! An image so full of emotional power, it's overwhelming!! The Grey bleakness of a sky that is threatening to explode with sorrow...the posture of the man, bent over with the burden of his life...excesses? Guilt? Pain?...who's to know?? A great, great work my friend:)
