... the nickname for this kind of motorboat (noisy engine), somewhat rarely heard these days. Once a very popular (economical) means of transport plying busily between the two sides of the Harbour. I can still remember that thrill to get onto one when I was a small boy!:-)

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Absolutely beautiful shot..the spot light on the boat, and the reflections from the wrinkle of the water and from the boat side build up the touching heart nostalgic mood...Love it very much!

Seem to be a very dark place, you need to push the ISO to 3200! Well balanced lighting you got. Can see all the details. Happy weekend Hugo.

@Dexter Chee: It's really dark despite the bright highlights... glad this iso3200 shot turned out fine!:-) Happy weekend to you Dexter!

k@ from Paris, France

I'm stunned, particularly on the larger size pic, by the rich glittering colors of the water, it's fairy-tale light slowly leading the eyes off screen beyond a magical horizon. And the whole image is so full of beautiful hues, really fabulous mood. With your words, one can instanteously hear the image as well, and even smell the engine & gas (or whatever). Love that tale of yours, Hugo ! Enjoy your end of week as night falls for you like in this beautifully lighted photograph.
