"悟 澈 awakening"

FUJIFILM X-E1 1/110 second F/1.6 ISO 400 53 mm (35mm equiv.)

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Greatly composed image.
The message is clear, with this gorgeous detailed texture and the temple suggested in a warm colored bokeh.

I love this word - would you explain me (when you have time) the meaning of each ideogram for Awakening, it's often so poetic and thought-provoking. That single eye is the one of a high spirit, yours i guess ;) Superb serie, peaceful and uplifting in colors & light that invite to an inner pause, in silence, open to what happens around. Thanks*

@k@: I'll try my best k@. Literally these three characters could be translated as follows, 悟 - realization, 澈 - clear (clear water), and 解 - resolve. However, to explain their meanings is quite another story cause it's stressed that truths (that have already been embedded in our heart) are not to be taught nor learned but to be awakened, realized and practised! Once you genuinely realize these truths, you'll aspire to and practise them just as naturally as one likes good food or a man is attracted by a pretty girl!:-) The more you practise them, the more clearly you'll understand them; the more thoroughly you understand them, the more readily you'll practise them... What is more, an awakening (the moment of enlightenment) always comes like flash - "頓悟"!
