another long night...

And as I trudged through the darkness on my way home, I was captured by this mood...

Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong

PS. Never did I know (nor could I tell) it was an iso6400 shot... not until I checked the exif while editting the pics at home.

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

Nice surroundings to go with his expression. They complement one another.

The profile as if sculpted in the concrete of the low wall is so strong along with the man air. Another 'I'm expecting nothing much and yet I am here' wonderful attitude you caught in perfect light with those crazily high ISO. I like his haircut, boyish like for a very young one, and the yellowish general tone, sun of a never ending night. You were very close with that lens, did you shoot with your camera stuck on your chest ? Thanks for sharing, Hugo !

The scene is good, and the night image quality and ISO are stunning in a way, when one discovers such a tool as you "new" one.

That's n incredibly high iso! And I'm surprised not to see any noise. Epic I say ! Another one of those nights sure yielded you with an incredibly expressive image, almost as if you were a ghost figure, not intruding on the man, just taking pictures somehow not in his space. The image gives out such feeling. Well done !
