"stairway to heaven"

I thought I saw the way or at least one of the ways...

I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

k@ from Paris, France

Clinical to me, no Heaven here ;) I guess due to the way they are dressed (like docs) but the stairs are impressive and the light surprising at your place, milky with for sure an opening so bright something good must await up there (or some E.T. maybe ? ;) The tones, almost a monochrome, are really surprising. I stay stucked !

@k@: Ha ha not a hospital... just the end of a tunnel and these two buddies should be two young chefs working in a nearby restaurant or hotel.:-) I might add a pic of this tunnel later. Cheers!

Gérard Beullac from Paris, France

I love how the colored details of their arms appear despite the high lights at the top of these stairs.
A great graduation between the black of the steps foreground and this white light.

Hugo I would love to spend a few days wandering around with you as you notice the sort of things I do wonderful anticipation here, the lack of colour also adds significantly to the shot.

Oh that is beautiful and just as they disappear into this white light, they are wearing white. Beautifully seen. I love the sense of hierarchy here and initially I did think it had something a little clinical to it. Superb !
