I do not regard myself as a photographer. I'm an ordinary man but extraordinarily obsessed with capturing all the memorable scenes that I encounter in my everyday life. It's like an excited traveller craving to record his memorable journey in a memorable way, but in my case, it's the journey of my life ... If I can record my encounters in such a way that they leave an image on the mind of myself and other viewers, it's a tremendous joy and some accomplishment...
In terms of photography, I'm trying to preserve the moments as my eyes see "something" and my heart feels it too. As such, I seldom feel interested in planned, arranged or manipulated photographs...

k@ from Paris, France

The quality of your light here is just stupendous ! Each details, each part of the image (yet on so various in scales, distances and all) are caught with perfection. I'm speechless for the quality (you're back to your fav X-E1, is it your fav btw ?). The subtle tones you got are really stunning !

@k@: Took these shots on Friday. Yes, this series is one of my recent favs! Amidst endless bad weather, rough days, frustrating news everyday (serious housing problems, social and political issues)... quite a relief this was to find the city as beautiful as ever! Apart from being at the right time, right place, right mood, I was also given the right tool - an X-mount Zeiss lens to test use.:-)

Oh my. Just gorgeous light here, Hugo. Beautiful.

Why is that higher I go ... more I feel small? :)
What light! what colors! How deep!

A cityscape as I love them ! The particular architectural organisation mixing high modern buildings punctuating areas with "normal size" constructions gives a great feeling of "vastitude".
The light is gorgeous.

Simply amazing, Hugo! One of your very best (and the other one from that evening). You should print it and hang it up.

Lovely, someday the magic Fuji fairy will zap my camera (or me perhaps) and I can milk that out of my Fuji(s):)

A magician with secret tools - you rock, dearest ! With or without Z-z-z-zeiss !
How fab to have this kind of quality image to endure bad weather, news and all we have here too - be thanked, this is really unique : both natural light (caressing the tower at the right) and electric one here and there as daylight slowly fades down. Did I already say this stucks me up with wide open square eyes in front of my screen ? Be thanked & courage for the week ahead*

@k@: Maybe not as charming, but the night scenes are irresistible too:

Wonderful expansive image! The color and light is just beautiful! I think it is always amazing how it rains all day and then just at sundown, the sky clears enough and the sun emerges just long enough for it to go down!

@Elaine Hancock: Exactly!:-)

Beautiful light, especially on the water and tower on the far shore, but also a fine composition with the placement of the three largest towers from the near edge to the far shore. Really fine work - as usual.
